Accepting God's plan for your life

"Why?"  That is the question many of us ask the Lord when we feel He is taking us down troublesome paths.  Some people think asking God "Why" is wrong.  I don't believe that.  I believe that just as my children have the freedom to talk to me and ask me whatever question they want {so long as it's done in a respectable manner} God has given us that same right.

The next question becomes, "Will He answer every why?"  No.  For whatever reason He chooses— God will not answer all of our "whys" -- at least not on this side of heaven.

We just have to trust and obey.  Trust that He knows what's best for us, and obey the way He shows us to go.  Believing that His plan is the best plan for our lives.

The same way the young peasant girl who found herself with child trusted.  You and I have trust, believing that the Father loves us so much that He not only knows what is best for us, but that He longs to give us the very best.  And just like the children of Israel, and just like Joseph, sometimes to get to His very best we have to trudge down a few rugged roads.  Remembering that He never leaves us to trudge by ourselves

What is truly helping me in my trudging season, is to remember with all my heart that He loves me.  And He knows what is best for me.  You and I may not understand the big picture of today, but we can began to pray and ask God to reveal His will for us today, thus we can begin to move in that direction.  As we move in the direction of His will, He will begin to reveal more, and we can move in that direction even more.  Then He will reveal more and we are to move more in that direction.

Get the picture?

Then one day we will look back and we will see just how far He has brought us in His plan for our life.

All we have to do ... all that we must do is ... TRUST & OBEY

Trust & obey

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who trust and obey

Refrain:

Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly dries it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly replay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for
the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet we sill sit at His feet,
or we'll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey. ~ John H. Sammis, 1887
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.   O Lord of hosts, how blessed is the man who trust in you."  ~ Ps. 84: 11-12

Life is not a race—

"Life is not a race - but indeed a journey.  Be honest.  Work hard.  Be choosy.  Say 'thank you', 'i love you', and 'great job' to someone each day.  Go to church, take time for prayerThe Lord giveth and the Lord taketh.  Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper.  Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental - search for your purpose and it do it as best you can.  Dreaming does matter.  It allows you to become that which you aspire to be.  Laugh often.  Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them.  Some of the best things really are free.  Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming.  Forgive, it frees the soulTake time for yourself - plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know.  Live for today, enjoy the moment." ~ found this at fearfully-wonderfully.com
